In-N-Out plans to open 3 restaurants in Tennessee by 2025. Check out the new locations.

In-N-Out is preparing to launch new restaurants in Tennessee, coinciding with the establishment of its state headquarters, USA TODAY has confirmed. The company stated that several locations in Middle Tennessee will be operational "by the end of this year."

The upcoming restaurants in Lebanon, Antioch, and Murfreesboro are expected to open by the end of 2025, with a Franklin location scheduled for early next year. Specific opening dates have not yet been disclosed.

Known for the iconic Double-Double burger and praised by the late Anthony Bourdain, In-N-Out has expanded beyond California in recent years, opening restaurants in Colorado, Texas, and Idaho.

The In-N-Out website lists five Tennessee locations as "opening soon":

  • Antioch: 4130 William Turner Parkway
  • Lebanon: 915 South Hartmann Drive
  • Franklin: 1951 Double Double Drive
  • Murfreesboro: 2508 Medical Center Parkway

Additionally, a Bell, California location is planned for early 2026.

While expanding in Tennessee, In-N-Out is not leaving California. In February, the company announced that many corporate employees will move from Irvine to a new Baldwin Park office, close to the first restaurant opened by founders Harry and Esther Snyder in 1948. The transition from Irvine, which has been in operation since 1994, is expected to be complete by 2029. Afterward, corporate staff will be based either in Baldwin Park or Tennessee, with the Nashville-area office expected to open in 2026.

In-N-Out Burger, founded in 1948 in Baldwin Park, California, began as a Southern California regional chain and has expanded over the years into northern California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Texas, and recently Tennessee. The next new location will open at the West End Center in Reno, Nevada. The chain currently operates around 300 restaurants across western states.

CEO Lynsi Snyder addressed potential East Coast expansion during a July podcast, noting logistical limitations. Tennessee locations will be supplied from a Texas warehouse without local meat processing, while most stores will continue to operate in California. Snyder emphasized that expansion into Florida and other East Coast states remains unlikely. The company also announced plans to open a store in New Mexico by 2027.
