WASHINGTON, Dec 5 The head of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission publicly criticized the European Union's decision to impose a fine on Elon Musk's social media platform, X, for violating EU online content regulations.
"Once again, Europe is penalizing a thriving American tech company simply for its success," FCC Chairman Brendan Carr stated in a post on X. "Europe is effectively taxing U.S. citizens to support a continent hindered by its own restrictive rules."
