Mega Millions winner claims $90M prize. Find out where the winning ticket was purchased.

A fortunate player has just claimed the Mega Millions jackpot. On December 2, shortly after a $983 million jackpot win in Georgia, another winning ticket emerged in New Jersey, matching all six numbers and securing a $90 million prize. The winner can opt for a lump-sum cash payout of $41.9 million.

This victory came after only five draws, making it the shortest jackpot stretch since August 2023, when a Florida player won $39 million just two draws following the record-setting $1.602 billion jackpot in the same state.

So far in 2025, six Mega Millions jackpots have been claimed, including the $983 million Georgia jackpot in November.

Winning Numbers for December 2, 2025

  • White balls: 17, 25, 26, 53, 60
  • Mega Ball: 16

The winning ticket was purchased in New Jersey.

How to Play Mega Millions

Players can purchase tickets at convenience stores, gas stations, grocery stores, and in some states, online. A ticket requires selecting six numbers: five white balls from 1 to 70, and a gold Mega Ball from 1 to 24. For a quick option, "Quick Pick" allows the system to choose numbers automatically.

Non-jackpot prizes are now automatically multiplied by 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10 times, included in the ticket price, replacing the previous optional "Megaplier."

Tickets can also be obtained through the Jackpocket app in select states and territories, enabling players to select numbers, purchase tickets, and claim winnings digitally.
