Huge wager on Da Bears: 1 gambler could win $3.3 million if Chicago Bears clinch the Super Bowl

Earlier this season, a daring bettor placed $50,000 on the Chicago Bears to win the Super Bowl at 66-1 odds, and after the team's remarkable turnaround, that bet could now pay $3.3 million.

The Bears, currently holding a 9-3 record, have been one of the NFLs biggest surprises this season. After stumbling to an 0-2 start, they have won nine of their last ten games, propelling them to the top of the NFC North and securing the No. 1 seed in the conference. Their performance has already exceeded preseason expectations, as they surpassed their projected win total of 8.5.

Following a convincing 24-15 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Black Friday, the bettor's high-risk wager looks increasingly wise. The bet, placed at BetMGM, currently stands as the largest reported Super Bowl futures bet in the United States by total potential payout.

Despite this, oddsmakers remain cautious. The Bears are currently listed with 30-1 Super Bowl odds, ranking seventh among teams in their conference. Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers, despite being second in the NFC North at 8-3-1, are favored at -140 odds to win the division at BetMGM.

Quarterback Caleb Williams has shown improvement in his sophomore season under new head coach Ben Johnson, ranking 18th in total QBR, yet he remains a long shot for MVP at 60-1 odds. The current Super Bowl favorite is the Los Angeles Rams at +450.

The Bears face the fifth-toughest remaining schedule, while their division rivals, the Packers, have the second-toughest. Chicago has performed well against the spread this season, going 8-4, second only to the Seattle Seahawks at 9-3. Their odds to make the playoffs stand at -325, reflecting a 76.5% implied probability, which is the first milestone this bet must reach.

This wager will be closely monitored as the season progresses, especially with Chicago's playoff hopes and potential Super Bowl run still on the line.
