Gordon Ramsay's Studio Hunts for Next Big Talent on Social Media as 'Secret Service' Series Sells to Channel 4, Bell Media & Other Networks

Studio Ramsay Global is now exploring social media to identify the next wave of culinary presenters. Lisa Edwards, who oversees the Gordon Ramsay-Fox joint venture, explained that the studio is searching for creators who stand out through authenticity and a clear point of view.

Edwards highlighted Jesse Burgess, host of Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars on Apple TV, as a prime example. Burgess, who founded the popular Topjaw platform, leads a show that encapsulates Studio Ramsays ethosfocused on excellence, dedication, competition, and the intersection of food, Michelin, and travelwithout Ramsay appearing on camera.

Edwards described Gordon Ramsay as the biggest food influencer globally, noting his ability to both create and amplify trends. The studio aims to find emerging voices who can similarly leave an impact. Michael Thorn, president of Fox TV, added that new creators like Burgess are impossible to ignore, especially in a market with fewer greenlit projects, and that collaborating with major networks can help these talents broaden their reach.

This initiative forms part of Studio Ramsays broader strategy to produce programs not directly hosted by Ramsay, though he remains involved behind the scenes. Edwards noted that the studio is considering projects across genres, including reality, scripted, dating, or singing shows.

Secret Service Series Achieves International Success

Gordon Ramsays Secret Service presents the chef in an undercover role, evaluating restaurants before revealing his identity to help improve operations. The show became Foxs most streamed summer program and has now been sold to 81 territories, including Channel 4 (UK), Bell Media (Canada), Scripps (Latin America), Warner Bros. Discovery (Germany), M6 (France), and RTL (Netherlands & Luxembourg). Format deals are expected soon.

Edwards emphasized that Ramsays global fame allows the shows undercover premise to enhance the storytelling, which excites both the studio and audiences worldwide.
